Klawervlei Stud contracted Saige to conduct a comprehensive review of their enterprise. A strategic plan was developed leading to a restructuring. The new brand positioning was completed and implemented.
THE CHALLENGE
The thoroughbred racing industry suffered significant losses while its very existence was threatened as a result of the lockdown and consequent contraction of the economy. The partners of Klawervlei appointed Saige to conduct an organisational review ensuring Klawervlei’s continued long-term sustainability.
THE RESULTS
Saige and Klawervlei collaborated using the Saige Activation Model. The original purpose was reviewed. The values were tested for relevance and appropriateness. The purpose was determined. A strategic plan was developed leading to a restructuring to ensure the form supported the new function. A comprehensive marketing plan was developed to ensure the repositioning was communicated clearly and unambiguously; the website was designed accordingly, the corporate image aligned to purpose, and the social media strategy compiled to ensure the repositioning was communicated.
